Central Texas Region Westcave Preserve

Westcave Preserve is a 75-acre gem of the Texas Hill Country, located on the Pedernales River in the western corner of Travis County. Two distinct ecosystems meet on the Preserve: a grassland savannah typical of the Edwards Plateau and a cool sheltered canyon of lush plant life. The highlight of the site is its 40-foot waterfall backed by a cave tumbling over fern-covered travertine columns into an emerald pool.
